putting the black in blackberry jam
We are a friendly, inclusive, social group for all who experience life as a woman. Based in North London (very close to Highgate Underground station), we typically meet once a month in the evening to craft, chat, attend talks, learn new skills and support one another. We hold 10 meetings and 2 social get-togethers a year. Individual members also organise ad-hoc outings (extra-curricular) to galleries, shows, events, gardens, etc.
Originally set up by a group of like-minded Goths, the group has evolved and diversified over the years, though we have retained an interest in the esoteric and offbeat (and do still tend to wear a lot of black), however we abide by the spirit of inclusivity set by the original group.
Most of us are of working age and our interests are varied, from corsetry to crochet, quilting to pickling, plants to platypuses, bee-keeping to tarot, AI to sword-fighting, gaming to fighting the system.
We also eat cake.
